Now... my earliest memory would be at age 7, folding foils for my mum while she was a mobile hairdresser,

((As history repeats itself you may of seen my daughter Loveleen has the same flare for all that's Hair & Make up.))

I learnt the old fashioned way in traditional Caucasian salons... with rows of hood dryers, Redken products & OAP 's booking for a blue rinse.

After many years of earning cash on the playground braiding I was eager to go beyond doing a full head of foils & being a traditional hairdresser.

 while still in school At age 14, I was doing 1 day a week in collage to gain my NVQ's, at the same time doing 3 days a week after school & Saturdays professionally fitting hair extensions & Training in Afro Caribbean hairdressing.

My Love for Afro hairdressing was born @ Afrique 'afro Caribbean' hair salon,

 totally different vibe, energy, work ethics... I fell in love with creative hairdressing & truly now begun to understand 'scalp care',

such an important topic that hardly gets spoke about.

here I learnt what True team work was while box braiding for 12 hrs straight & fitting weaves back to back.

summer days were the longest but most fun with the salon Jam packed! clients & us singing, dancing it felt like little Jamaica.

From then to now …

 Many times I relocated & started up mobile hairdressing from scratch each time, I quickly learnt that each area had there own trends.

So being diverse in what I offer was my focus point.

Had loads of fun working @ Beauty Base … working with Quality brands like Clarins, Dior, Guerlain, LA Prairie, Shiseido

there I started from the bottom & progressed to Beauty Head, training all the new Make up artists in the other branches.

I later landed my counter managers role for Yves Saint Laurent @ house of Fraser in Richmond.

Huge! passion for child care & phycology so got my NVQ's sorted whilst nannying,

& always having 'Hair & make up by Leah' on the backburner as life side tracks me.

''Life has so many options!!''

After moving some more...I'm very much settled now in Telford,

with my husband , my son’s & daughter its safe to say ( for my current client's ) we are staying put :-)

home schooling & a Home salon is now my Bliss.

(therefore this year will be my last in offering mobile wedding appointments ,

giving me more time to focus on being a Hair & Beauty Educator)
